Seminar: Producing as an independent artist
1pm, 13th September 2014 in the "Orange Learning Space" with special guest producer Mat PlayfordCritically acclaimed producer Mat Playford will be discussing his career and sharing advice on creating music successfully, without the benefits or financial and business support of being signed to a record label.

- How do you reach the most relevant audience as an independent artist?
- Dos and don'ts when signing to a label
Mat will be showcasing his latest successful album release, Too Big To Fail, on Black Rock Records as his case study for the talk and let-us-in on how he produced such a big sounding album, the importance of mastering, working with musicians and his incredible studio setup.
Seminar: Mastering for EDM
1pm, 15th September 2014 in the "Orange Learning Space" Prism Sound & special guest speakerWe team up with an award-winning, special guest mastering engineer to bring you an insightful talk on the Mastering process for EDM Music.
Our special guest's professional career has seen her work with the very highest profile and talented artists and musicians in their genre from Armin Van Helden and Basement Jaxx to Royksopp and Junior Sanchez.
Is it all about loudness? How does the mastering engineer work with you to get your desired result? Should I get my tracks cut to vinyl? What is Mastering anyway?!
We will learn what is involved in mastering and how to prepare and get the most from your mixes to prepare your tracks for the mastering process.
Both seminars are free to attendees of BPM.
