Prism Sound appoints ANK as its distributor in South KoreaSeoul, South Korea - February 2007: The burgeoning South Korean pro audio industry is proving profitable for Prism Sound, particularly since it appointed a new distributor in the territory to handle its range of multi-channel analogue and digital audio converters and processors. Audio Network Korea (ANK) is renowned as a distributor of high end pro audio products working on behalf of companies such as AMS Neve and Digidesign, for whom it acts as a repair centre. Headed by former recording and mastering engineer Tom Kim, ANK also undertakes systems integration projects for Korean music and post production facilities.
Tom Kim says: "Prism Sound products are of the highest calibre and are very well regarded by audio professionals around the world. I first used the company's EQ processors when I was working as a mastering engineer and was always impressed by the great results they delivered. I'm delighted to be representing Prism Sound in South Korea and have already achieved a number of sales for the company."
The most recent of these is the sale of two MEA-2 EQs to Sonic Korea, one of the country's top mastering facilities. The MEA-2 has long been a favourite with recording and mastering engineers where ultimate sonic performance, musicality and precision are required. Originally developed for Prism Sound by renowned engineer/producer Leif Mases, the MEA-2 is a stereo or 2-channel, four-band precision analogue equalizer with stepped Q/shelf, frequency and cut/boost controls on each band.
Sonic Korea's mastering engineer Jeon Hoon says: "The MEA-2 has already had a significant impact on my work and turned me into a big Prism Sound fan. The precision and flexibility of this fantastic unit, combined with its incredible transparency, enable me to quickly create just the sound that I want. I am looking forward to my introduction to the rest of the Prism Sound range."
