SADiE 6 LiVE branded systems are essentially hardware multi-track recorders consisting of a SADiE hardware unit and dedicated Multi-track Recorder software. The full SADiE software and modules can be added, turning these into full editing systems. The combination of dedicated hardware and software retains the traditional SADiE strengths of low latency, high reliability, bit transparent digital recording in a turnkey system. Additional important features include the ability to make mirrored recordings on two hard-disks providing a simultaneous safety copy, high track counts, and the ability to connect to consoles via MADI, MADI-X, AES-3 or analogue connections. Initially there are three platforms for the SADiE 6 LiVE system, each of which can be configured with a range of I/O cards:

Includes 64 channel DSP, hardware front panel with moving faders and edit controls, 3 "slither" audio card expansion slots, headphone and monitor outputs. In "LiVE" guise, it is supplied with Multi-track Recorder software (dedicated location recording software) but is also compatible with all of the various SADiE 6 software packages. Expandable to a maximum of 48 discrete inputs or 56/64 channels of MADI, LRX2 is not a stand-alone recorder and requires a host computer with a USB2 port running Windows.

The LiVE H64 and LiVE H128 are almost infinitely customisable in hardware, and each one is built to the customer's specification. The simplest configurations are dedicated MADI I/O recorders, but almost any configuration of analogue and AES inputs or outputs may be specified, along with many different storage options.
