Dan Foley joins Prism Sound's US sales teamCambridge, UK: The growing success of Prism Sound products in the US has led the company to strengthen its sales team by appointing Dan Foley to the position of Telephony Solution Strategist and sales representative for Test and Measurement solutions in the Eastern United States. Foley was recruited to the Prism Sound team by Doug Ordon, President of Douglas Ordon & Associates and Prism Sound's National Sales Representative for the Americas.
"I was introduced to Dan through a long time business associate, and he is simply one of the best in the industry," noted Doug Ordon. "It is a huge win for Prism Sound to attract someone of his calibre. His experience and passion for the industry make Dan a welcome addition to an already outstanding team of professionals."
Dan Foley is the Principal of Foley & Associates, a Boston-based company specializing in technology and market development for the audio test and measurement market. Foley received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Hartford with an emphasis in Acoustics and Vibration. He began his career at Bruel & Kjaer, the world-renowned Danish manufacturer of acoustic, vibration, and audio test and measurement instrumentation. During his tenure with B&K, he grew his sales territory to be the top revenue producer in the USA.
Foley later joined Listen, Inc., as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Listen, Inc. is a PC-based test and measurement company targeted at the development of test solutions for electroacoustic products including loudspeakers, microphones, hearing aids, communication headsets, analogue and digital telephones, cell phones, and voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) phones.
Foley is a member of the IEEE Subcommittee on Telephone Instrument Testing and the Audio Engineering Society (AES) Working Group on Digital Audio Measurement Techniques. In addition, Foley is a contributing member to standards development sponsored by the Telecommunications Industry Association, and has authored technical papers for the AES, and American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
